Creativity for Urban Future

Urban Economy Forum, in collaboration with UN-Habitat, ISOCARP, Commonwealth Association of Planners, and World Architecture Community is organizing a session titled, Creativity for Urban Future, which is hosted by Urban + Future as a virtual launch. The event will be held on April 21st from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm (Toronto Time), on the occasion of the World Creativity and Innovation Day.

Innovation Day exposes United Nations staff to new ideas, processes, behaviors, and concepts. These weekly briefings cover a wide variety of innovative and creative topics. They include internal briefings on innovation across the UN system, as well as briefings by external experts. The sessions are linked to actual projects, mandates, and internal contexts. The discussions help staff link the new concepts to their
day-to-day work and to find ways to apply innovation in mandate delivery.

In spring 2021, in line with the United Nations Secretary-General’s priority to build a “global
coalition for carbon neutrality,”
the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs is hosting a
four-part series to discuss ways the world can place climate action at the heart of recovering
better from the COVID-19 crisis.

Water is life. Humans are made up of 70% water and our global food and energy systems depend on this vital building block to function.
